At first I thought this book was written by someone who has only heard of English as a rumor, but finally I caught on. Like so many e-cookbooks, these are recipes copied from other sources not given any credit. In shirt, they are plagiarized.The novelty is that the author has used some sort of synonym generator to substitute for the original words Perhaps they thinks makes a "borrowed" recipe original but it does not. Hence one star. I take a fun view of theft.
That said, the result is often hilariously funny. Shredded cheese becomes "destroyed cheese." Evaporated milk is " dissipated milk" and baking powder is "heating powder" to name just a few. Cup is generally render as a glass or container. A reasonably skilled cook can figure out most of the real measurements from context, although for a "squeeze if pepper," your guess is as good as mine.
I got this for free on the top 100 Kindle bestseller lust, but price is irrelevant when the material is stolen. If you want to assemble recipes and publish, refine them to make them original or get permission and give credit. At least this is a missing as a word game.

It would be most helpful if the author would let us know how much is a half glass of milk or flour..or full glass is. Useless recipe book if you don't know how much to use. And thats the reason for a two rating. Otherwise I would give it a four.
This cookbook has some very enduring recipes.
I would have enjoyed this book if I understood what a 1/2 glass of measurement meant.
These truly are the very best soul food recipes. I am so glad I found James Sharpe's book, a great variety of delicious recipes. So far the Key Largo Key Lime Pound Cake with Key Lime Glaze is my absolute favorite. The recipes are creative and very easy to follow and I can't wait to try them all. If you want to feed your soul, this is the book to get.
