Oh how the wonderful Miss Mimi always gets me. Skinny Pants was with out a doubt a freakin success. I fell in love with Macie and Jack. It was so nice to see the other characters in this and how the story wraps up. Yes this the last book of the series and as always to me anyways, she leaves it as cliffhanger instead of a complete ending but it is the end. It always feels like all of her works of art are interconnected in some way or another and that is what draws me back every time she releases a new book.

Macie Franklin is a nurse at a hospital. She is kind, loyal, hard worker, smart and great at her job. But she's not what you would consider your normal size woman. No she a full figure woman with curves and sass to go with it. She is confident in the way she presents herself but has always felt invisible to the opposite sex. Jack Reed is a surgeon, once was one of the go to for reconstruction or restoration work in the plastic surgery field. But now he has left that part behind and began newly at gastric surgery here at the same hospital. After a hard day Macie who has had a bit to drink decides do a little online work so to speak and finds Dr. J-Love on a online dating site and immediately starts chatting away. The next morning is not looking so good with some fuzzy memories of the night before Macie knows she did bad. With a resolve to better herself she seeks out Dr. Reed who turns out to be no other than Dr. J-love himself. But he doesn't recognize her from her online pic because it's someone else's pic she used in moment of drunkenness.

Jack and Macie's relationship starts off as friendship and more is definitely there. Jack is closed off due to the pain he suffered from his divorce. I've never seen a more broken man and Macie see it too. With truths and misunderstandings coming to light and Ms. Luci with her "helpers" things get interesting. Yes the secret behind those infamous cookies is revealed. Finally!!!!! But can Jack and Macie find themselves to be better or will past hurt make it to hard for them to overcome it all.....

I have read book 1 &3 in this series, loved both of them.
Man does it take awhile for these two to get it together, but man is it worth it.
I don't usually read books with Dr's since I'm a nurse. BUT since it was a nurses love life this was about, I just had to read it.
I will say, wish there was a Dr. Reed where I work! Seems like i work with more of the Chadster types of they are good looking.

This is a sad day finished the last story in the happy pants care series 😢😢 , but it was an awesome book !!! As usual Mimi Jean blows it out the ball park !! It was full of fun ,tears , sass ,and so much more , I would like to see everyone again but you this is a good fair ending , and seeing how we are the privileged one to get to share her visions we have to respect when she says that's it !!! This is a must read folks is everything you imagine and more !!! Thank you Mimi Jean !!!
I have followed this series from the start, but my first dip into the pool was Fugly. It resonated deep, and I followed that series with much love and anticipation. Then the immortals came along and Holy Hell on a unicorn, that shiz was brilliant!!! It took me a minute to get into the King series, woof, fanning my face, great! Then came Rook ! Lord that is sooooo good! Still waiting for the next one. The Tass series is fun, and I get all hormonal n angry, n girly and can't wait for the next one. I think the Happy Pants series is a 3 way tie for me. Not telling which it's up with, but it is a definite 3 way for BEST! Thank you Mimi for leaving hope for love matches ever after!
What a great ending to a great series! Macie and Jack's story is definitely one for the pages. This friends to enemies to lovers story kept me in my seat, turning page after page until the very end. A little bit sad with it being the last book to a wonderful series, but a great HEA!

My favorite quote from the book... “He’s so scrumptiously tasty.” “Something about him makes me want to ovulate, bend over, and give up all my hopes and dreams just to wash his dirty underwear and make him coffee in the morning.” I literally snort-laughed when I read this!
I hate to admit this but this is my first read of Mimi's but it certainly will not be my last. I actually purchased the first book in the series and had already bought the other ebook versions. I absolutely adored Macie and Jack's story. The whole catfishing was crazy btw I'm not a fan of that show my sis loves it though, anyway Ms Luci intervening and making her love potion cookies😉😉 was great and meeting the other couples were too. I can't wait to go back and meet everyone. Most of all I appreciated mimi's theme of loving the body your in and finding your one and true soulmate.
The Happy Pants Cafe is a unique series in that the characters aren't perfect, even the pretty ones, and they aren't all pretty. It's real life, where people come in all shapes and sizes and bring their luggage with them. In this story, Jack and Macie, despite an instant attraction, don't figure out their issues in a day, or even a week, or a month. It takes time, lots of time, despite the best efforts of meddling friends and relatives. In the end, Jack and Macie have to work out their own issues for themselves. I think that's part of what made this series so real and authentic, the characters are complex and flawed and just that little bit more real because of it.
What a great story to end off the series! Surprised and sad to see it end but maybe, hopefully, Ms.Pamfiloff will surprise us with another story in the series. Finding true love but being able to accept it don't always go hand in hand and that's what we see in Maci and Jacks story. They learn to move on from the past, value themselves and be open to accepting love on their own time. When they both know they are ready and not because of some delicious smiley face cookies! As always love the style of writing by Ms.Pamfiloff. Snarky humour, hysterical script and a beautiful Romantic story with a HEA. I high recommend this book and the complete series!
